A look back

2013: From a paper map to a virtual mission

Adam started tracking his runs on a paper map and loved seeing his progress build. He wanted others to feel it too! That sparked an idea, and he teamed up with developer Andrew to bring it to life.

2016–2019: The first challenges found their people

We launched our first challenge and Conquerors started joining in! But we needed help spreading the word further. So, marketing expert Raul joined the team in 2019, and the community grew quickly.

2022: One email opened up a new world

Adam imagined The Lord of the Rings Challenges for years and Raul pushed him to email Warner Bros. And by April 5, adventures were live! Same year they’d become equal partners, and we planted our first trees.

2023–2026: 200+ challenges later…

We kept finding new ways to move, through history, sci-fi, iconic cities and more! Hard to believe it began with a paper map. 10 years on, it feels like we’re just starting. Thank you for being here!
