When you connect an app or device

As part of connecting to an app or device, to sync your distances/activities, you will be required to consent to the sharing of your devices information with us. We may use this information for debugging specific issues you have reported. The information provided will vary on the app or device used but can contain information such as the locations you have exercised, the route taken, and your heart rate/other health data.

We only use and store the following information and dispose of all other health/location data provided by the connected service.

Distance travelled
Number of steps
Activity type (e.g. running/walking)
Duration of activity
Third-party app name / data sources

When you post a distance

You are able to add comments or photos to accompany the details of the exercise completed. The visibility of these comments and images depend on your profile privacy settings.

When you post a distance using our inbuilt distance tracker "ConqDistance"

The primary purpose of the ConqDistance feature is to allow you to perform an exercise/movement session and determine the distance you moved while the session was active.

Therefore we collect precise location data (GPS, Wi-Fi, cellular triangulation) about/from your device. This includes location data collected in the foreground (when you are actively using the app) and in the background (when you have started a distance tracking session, and minimise the app).

We use this information to:

Show you current progress and precise location, during your active exercise session (e.g. on a map)
Calculate the distance you have travelled during your exercise session
Transmit this location data securely to our servers to sync your session data.

During setup, and start of an exercise session, we explicitly request access to precise location data which facilitates the accuracy of the distance tracker.

You can stop the collection of location data at any time by accessing your device's system settings and disabling Location Services for our App. Note that disabling location services may impact the functionality of this feature.

In some cases (such as for debugging purposes) we may retain location data for a short period of time (< 30 days). This is typically stored on device, but may be transmitted securely to our back-end. No location data is transmitted to third parties or advertisers.

We will collect and store your contact information, and also collect the contents of your communication, to enable us to provide you with support services.

When you sign up to receive our newsletter we will collect your name and email address. We will also collect details about how you interact with newsletters we send e.g., did you open the email.

Connecting a Google Health account is optional. We request read only access and never write, edit or delete anything in your Google Health account. We request two permissions:

googlehealth.activity_and_fitness.readonly, to read your daily step totals and completed workouts. We convert these into distance to advance your position along your chosen route and to unlock milestones, badges and medals.
googlehealth.profile.readonly, to read your Google Health account identifier. We use it only to match incoming data to the right Conqueror account, to avoid counting the same activity twice, and to unlink cleanly if you disconnect. We do not read or store any other profile attribute, including your name, date of birth, height or weight.
