The Appian Way Virtual Challenge

The Appian Way is one of the most famous Roman roads of the ancient republic, being one of the earliest and strategically important roads that connects Rome to the port town of Brindisi, in southeast Italy.

Built between 312 to 264 B.C., the Appian Way, called the queen of the long roads, was named after a Roman censor who began and completed the first sector as a military road.

An interesting fact is that the Appian Way is actually the reason why he hear the phrase “all roads lead to Rome”.
