Isle of Wight Virtual Challenge
The Isle of Wight, the largest island in England, is situated in the English Channel, a few miles south of Hampshire. Easy to reach, about 2 hours from London via ferry, it is one of the sunniest places in the British Isles.
While its beautiful scenery provides ample opportunity to enjoy sightseeing and relax in nature, the Isle of Wight is also a hotspot for people who prefer a more active holiday. It is the home of the Isle of Wight Festival, its 1970 edition famous for being the largest rock music festival ever held to date.
Blackgang Chine, the oldest amusement park in the UK and situated at the southern tip of the Isle of Wight, still offers amazing fun for families all year round. Runners can enjoy the breathtaking landscape, alternating sunny beaches with tall, white cliffs while feeling the cool breeze of the ocean.
