Laugavegur Trail Virtual Challenge

Listed as one of the most beautiful trails in the world by National Geographic, the Laugavegur Trail in Iceland passes colourful rhyolite mountains, obsidian lava, hot springs, crystal clear lakes, a black sandy desert and ends in a luxuriant forest.

The trail is usually open from early Summer to early Fall as weather conditions make it otherwise hard to traverse.

The varied landscape can truly feel out of this world,the trail boasting plateaus of black volcanic ash that look like the surface of the moon, hills of frozen lava and numerous volcanoes sprouting from under the floor. Any experienced hiker will agree that this is a unique hiking experience that you can find nowhere else.
